Journey with the Cowgirl Chicks to New Braunfels, Texas, and take a behind the scenes look at their performance at the 18th annual Comal County PRCA Rodeo. You’ll meet rodeo stock contractors Lancaster & Pickett and the legendary rodeo announcer Charlie Throckmorton. All of these men and their staff work hard each night to put together a high-energy rodeo. The Cowgirl Chicks are grateful to Lancaster & Pickett who gave them their first opportunity to perform live at a rodeo more than 15 years ago.

The episode also featured Rocket Ryan Litwin, one of the funniest rodeo clowns in the business. You’ll see what it takes to be a good rodeo clown and how these individuals expose themselves to great danger to distract the bull in order to protect a cowboy who has fallen off a bull. As a professional rodeo and bull riding entertainer and barrelman, Litwin makes this job look easy having performed at more than 60 PBR Events and more than 200 Rodeo performances across the country throughout his career.

The show also highlights the rodeo’s opening night tribute to the military and the Helping a Hero organization. This non-profit group provides specially adapted homes and support for military personnel severely injured in the war on terror. The Cowgirl Chicks perform a special military tribute in honor of these heroes at each rodeo.

Leaving Footprints in the Heart of Kentucky: 2011 Breyerfest, Lexington, Kentucky

This episode highlights the Cowgirl Chicks trip to Kentucky to perform at the Breyerfest. Along the way, they stop by the Tarter’s family ranch. The Cowgirl Chicks tour the beautiful Tarter ranch and also get some rest before their big performance at Breyerfest in Lexington.
