Back to Meet Our Cowgirls!

I was inspired by the Cowgirl Chicks the first time I saw them ride at Cowtown Coliseum in the Fort Worth Stockyards. I toyed with the idea of becoming a member but quickly decided neither my skills nor my horse's were good enough to riding with these amazing girls. Then I read an article on the Chicks' website about a fallen hero, Marine Lance Corporal Phillip George and how the team had done a tribute to him at the rodeo in his hometown, Pasadena, TX. I knew then, I had to work my tail off and do whatever it took to be a part of the team!

I have learned that not only are we a team - we are a FAMILY! My young daughters, Jamie and Maggie, and my husband, Steve, have expanded OUR family by fifteen! We all look out for each other and pick each other up when we fall (literally and figuratively!). It's a wonderful opportunity for my children to grow up around such a wonderful group of young women and learn "the cowgirl way."
