My love of horses started when my dad adopted our first horse when I was 3, an American mustang that we named "Houston." We still have Houston. He turned 15 this year. Even though I grew up around horses, I was never an accomplished rider - until I met the Cowgirl Chicks!
I started taking riding lessons at Trish Lynn's ranch and the rest is history. Ginger, Sadie, Leah and Trish were amazing, and they my family and I to watch them perform. I'd never seen anything like it. I learned more about their mission and goals and I knew right then and there that I wanted to be a part of this great team.
It was such an honor when Trish asked me to join the Chicks. No one can see the bond that exists between the girls until you are a part of it. It has been such an amazing experience to travel together and become one big family. Raising cancer awareness and riding for our troops who defend our freedom is both an honor and a privilege.
